Bob Marley & The Wailers - Lively Up Yourself (Vivada remix)

A new remix by me. Inspired by Soulwax's awesome retro remixes, I started this remix several months ago after playing the original many, many times to my wife late at night (or not so late) when she was starting to pike on me. I say inspired by Soulwax but I hold no delusions of it being anywhere near as good as their remixes, that may take many years I'm afraid. However, it's not one of those cheap and nasty retro remixes that pollute the blogosphere (i.e. original track with a fresh drum track and maybe some chopping of vocals thrown in), everything is fresh besides the vocals of course and the wicked sax solo which I've glitched up a bit. Anyway, that's enough dancing about architecture from me...

Kids at the Bar

A while back, I posted Kids at the Bar's remix of Sleepyhead. Since then I've discovered that these dudes have other awesome remixes. Seriously. Massive, crazy basslines, thumpin' drums and some awesome vocal chopping is what they're all about. Hopefully they deliver some original stuff soon, I shall keep my ears peeled.

Silverchair back in the studio!

As evidenced by the following mysterious youtube clip, Silverchair, the greatest band in the universe are back in the studio recording album #6. Excitement.

M83 Remix White Lies

White LiesWhite Lies
M83 are one of my favourite remix artists, they produce either massive, beautiful epics or bangin' dance-inducing remixes. Battery in Your Leg just got a hold of this new remix of White Lies, Nothing to Give. It's one of those beautiful epics I was talking about. It's very good too, get it while you can. I highly recommend M83's original works too, top notch dream-pop. I may post some more M83 remixes soon, so stay tuned.
