Peaches Gets a Soulwax

Peaches' new album I Feel Cream will be released on May 4th and the first single is called Talk to Me. The single was produced by Soulwax which makes it seriously awesome. Other guest producers on the album include Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco and Drums of Death... holy shit! Stop by her website to download (in mov format!) a mini-documentary about Peaches. Good stuff.

Passion Pit

Passion Pit are from Massachusetts, USA. It's been a while since a new yankee band caught my ear. Their debut album, Manners will be released on May 18 and I'm eagerly anticipating it. I reckon it has to be awesome after listening to the Chunk of Change EP an absolute arseload of times over the past few weeks. I'd say that if there was a Family Feud-type survey thing regarding Passion Pit's sound, the highest paying answer would have to be dreamy (followed closely by spacey.) Fans of Van She would totally dig this.

Both of the remixes are from artists I'd never heard of before but are fully top-notch in every way. The Knock are from Colchester, UK and are name after a song from UNKLE's first album. Kids at the Bar are from Oklahoma City and have done a bunch of other remixes which I must check out. Anyway...

The Scare Have No Money

The first sample of The Scare's new album, Oozevoodoo, has been released and it's really fucking cool. As previously mentioned, the album is being produced by Daniel Johns of Silverchair and it shows. The production is very reminiscent of Nick Launay's production on the Chair's last album, Young Modern. Johns apparently wrote some songs on the album too...

The Return of the Antichrist

Manson has unleashed the first taste of his new album which features the return of Twiggy Ramirez for the the first time in a decade or so. The track is called We're from America and it's a bit kick-arse. This particular track is not the first single, that will be Arma-God-Damn-Motherfuckin'-Geddon. I assume the release of this track is an effort to stave off pirates as there is apparently some unfinished, leaked versions of some of the album tracks going around. I can't wait to hear the album.
